Colette Davis

I love discovering new artist; especially brilliant ones whose work I can still afford! I also personally prefer figure and portrait paintings to landscape or still life paintings; and I prefer oil to watercolor. So of course I was quite excited to find the work of Colette Davis. You can guy her prints on Etsy but the original paintings are a bit harder to come by. Here are some of my favorites:

Paintings can be almost as intricate and perfect as photographs; they also offer a lot of artistic license; you will get to look at the lush landscape and the artist’s ability to work creatively at the same time.
